Can you display your computer on the TV through a DVR?
I want to make a setup so I can view my computer on my TV. I don't think I have the capability to connect directly from my computer to the TV, because the only possible connection to the TV is through its S-Video port (which I don't have on my computer), but I do have a DVR that currently provides service to my TV. Can I hook my computer to the DVR so it will show my computer on the TV? An alternate solution would also be if I can do a sort of transfer from my computer to the DVR, where I copy a movie file from the computer to the DVR, then watch the movie file on my TV.
The TV model # is CT-32SX31E; it's a Panasonic analogue and has an S-VIDEO port.
The DVR has 2 Ethernet ports, a SATA port, USB, HDMI, and Video Audio Output port.
My computer has an Ethernet port, HDMI, eSATA, USB, and VGA port.
Yea Bro, You ned an adapter (VGA to S-Vid RCA) http://www.laikeet.com/catalog/images/CBA0_03.jpg
Then you connect a wire (SVIDEO or A/V) and connect that to your TV. Its straightforward and you dont need the dvr in this thing.
